EUW 2018 Review: Cyber Security Solutions for the Utility Sector
From November 6 to November 8, 2018, Infotecs showcased its cyber security solutions for the utility sector at European Utility Week in Vienna, Austria, one of the most important events in Europe in the energy sector.
"With expanding networks and increasing automation, critical infrastructure has become increasingly vulnerable to cyber-attacks", explains Josef Waclaw, CEO of Infotecs GmbH. "Attacks on critical and industrial infrastructure, as we have it in the utility sector, are particularly worrying because they can lead to severe consequences for communities. For example hackers could cause a power blackout. That is why innovative and robust cyber security solutions are essential."
At the exhibition in Vienna the Infotecs team showcased different use cases of the ViPNet Security and Threat Intelligence Platform which provides comprehensive Information Security enablement encompassing Software Defined VPN, Mobile Security for iOS and Android, Industrial Control Systems and SCADA Security, Cloud Security, Secure Unified Communications, Secure Collaboration, Intrusion Detection Software (IDS), Industry 4.0 VPN gateways (Modbus/CAN Bus/PC Bus) and security for the Internet of Things (IoT). At the stand the Infotecs security specialists showed solutions that assist Special Forces in using drones and protect e-charge infrastructures in e-mobility, as well as protect critical infrastructures against cyber-attacks.
